Intro

Zeng.

Loves Singapore and Gippsland, Vic, Australia.
Am experiencing the four seasons of the year for this first time in my life.
Got the chance to wear winter clothes for the first time too...
Got the chance to switch on the heater in the day and at night to keep warm...
Got the chance to get extremely dry skin and understand that we can never get the best of both worlds...
Got to see places where there's more cows than people, more trees than buildings, more love than scams...
Sometimes misses hot and humid and unpredictably rainy weather...
Constantly misses the love for me from the little red dot...

PROFILE

Learning in an instituition called university...
To be precise, the place is called Monash University
To be more exact, it's called Monash University, Gippsland campus
To be very clear, I'm studying in Monash University, Gippsland campus, undertaking BA (Psych and Humans)
To paint the most descriptive picture, my main interest is in education.
But I'm learning about psychology, sociology (mostly under Aussie context) and History-politcs for now.
Social justice issues, politics, education, environmental issues, social realities and things like that intrigues me...

For additional information, I'm not doing that well most of the time.
But don't you dare judge!
There's ups and downs and you never know how high up I can get...
I don't know too but we'll find out...

It's a constant struggle but,
It's never too old to learn.
Never too poor to school.
Never too stupid to think.

Supermarket... 4:09 PM

I went to see Margaret (sociology lecturer) yesterday to say bye to her. I went to the supermarket after that.

On my way in, someone called my name and it turned out to be Jim. I know him from yoga class and he had given me a farewell gift at my last yoga class. It is a very precious gift as he had made it himself. It's actually a pen with a wooden barrel, made of a type of scented wood (I don't know the name...).

So we chatted and it's just so great to see him today because I won't get to see him anymore. He's very friendly and always makes me feel at home, in the sense that I am welcomed in Australia.

On my way back, I passed by the BBQ chicken shop. The owner was originally from Greece. We chatted a bit and although he can't exactly remember us chatting before in the past, we still talked like we're old neighbours.

Well the reason I feel like writing about this is that I think I will miss this place. It's a beautiful place. As I was cooking dinner, I could see 9 wood ducks feeding on the grass outside the house. It's just such a non-hostile and stress-reducing place to live in.

I have learnt a lot from the people here. One of them is about being friendly. I realise that I don't have to be afraid of being friendly. Yes, sometimes being friendly may get me into some trouble or embarrassing moments but on the overall, it does me so much more good and to others as well. I guess it's still hard for me to do the "Hey, how you goin'?" kind of thing, but I suppose I'll try more now.

Gonna miss Churchill, Gippsland...

Luv,
Me
