Intro

Zeng.

Loves Singapore and Gippsland, Vic, Australia.
Am experiencing the four seasons of the year for this first time in my life.
Got the chance to wear winter clothes for the first time too...
Got the chance to switch on the heater in the day and at night to keep warm...
Got the chance to get extremely dry skin and understand that we can never get the best of both worlds...
Got to see places where there's more cows than people, more trees than buildings, more love than scams...
Sometimes misses hot and humid and unpredictably rainy weather...
Constantly misses the love for me from the little red dot...

PROFILE

Learning in an instituition called university...
To be precise, the place is called Monash University
To be more exact, it's called Monash University, Gippsland campus
To be very clear, I'm studying in Monash University, Gippsland campus, undertaking BA (Psych and Humans)
To paint the most descriptive picture, my main interest is in education.
But I'm learning about psychology, sociology (mostly under Aussie context) and History-politcs for now.
Social justice issues, politics, education, environmental issues, social realities and things like that intrigues me...

For additional information, I'm not doing that well most of the time.
But don't you dare judge!
There's ups and downs and you never know how high up I can get...
I don't know too but we'll find out...

It's a constant struggle but,
It's never too old to learn.
Never too poor to school.
Never too stupid to think.

Happiness... 1:05 AM

Do people remember watching "Child of Our Time" on Central in Singapore a few years back? This is a documentary and study on 25 children born in the millenium year. The children will be observed as they develop into adulthood. I'm very fascinated and impressed by this show as it brings science and knowledge in the most interesting and easy-to-understand ways to us. I think every episode is equally fantastic! Well, for those who're interested, check out these two links. The episode is about happiness and divided into two parts.

Part 1: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_cd00XMjUwNzEzNDQ=.html
Part 2: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_cd00XMjUwOTI3Njg=.html

After watching, I realised that I probably am not a truly "happy" person in the sense that I am not really optimistic about things much of the time. There are many factors that lead to the level of happiness one will feel most of the time, but hopefully we can all find our ways of being happy most of the time. One child in the show, Helena, measured being happy almost all the time. Statistically, it's near 100%! Of course, life will definitely have its pitfalls and the most important thing is to overcome it with our resilience! So ppl, let's try to strive for that! Haha preaching is so much easier than doing it, but I'll try. :D

p/s: Actually, many people have told me about not giving up, be more optimistic, and gave me a lot of other advices, but sometimes it's just so hard to get it in and change! However, watching the kids, I think as adults, we sometimes have not mastered certain skills needed for a more fulfilling life that we should have learnt some time ago, don't you think? No fret! As the saying goes, it's better to be late than never and I really think I'm still very young! Heee... :D

Luv,
Me
